Thai is a dominant language and is spoken by the majority of the society in Thailand. Thai language gained widespread popularity in Thailand and other parts of the world. The language is also adopted as the second language in the late 18th century. Ethnic minorities speak Thai other than their native language or dialect.

Marathi has millions of native speakers after Hindi-Urdu and Bengali. Marathi has the oldest literature and is inspired by many modern Indian languages. The dialect of Marathi is Standard Marathi and the Varhadi dialect. Marathi has exclusive forms of 'we' and uses a three-way gender system.
