It includes western, northern, southern, mid-east, and northeast dialects. The Priangan dialect covers the largest areas of the Sundanese language. It differs from Standard Dutch and has a different sound system. Afrikaans was adopted in schools in 1914. It was also the official language in the Dutch Reformed Church in 1919. distinct Afrikaans literature also gained a lot of popularity in the 20th century. The translation of the Bible is also available in Afrikaans and it was first was published in 1933.
