It is very much similar to the Southern Bantu languages like Venda, Tsonga, Tonga, Lozi, and another native language of Zambia.

The dialect of Marathi is Standard Marathi and the Varhadi dialect. Marathi has exclusive forms of 'we' and uses a three-way gender system.
