There are about 113 million native speakers all around the world. It is spoken by people in the Punjab province in Pakistan. In India, Punjabi is spoken by 31.1 million people (as of 2011) and is the official language of Punjab.

This language belongs to Indo-European, Indo-Iranian, and Western Iranian.
