The origin of the modern Nepali language is linked to the Sinja Valley of Jumla. It is a historical language and was spoken by the Khas people of the Karnali region. The language gets its name from Khas Speech (Khas Kurā). Nepali has an archaic dialect and is spoken in Karnali.

Punjabi has made its way to many other parts of the world including the United Arab Emirates, the United States, France, Australia, New Zealand, Italy, and the Netherlands. There are about 113 million native speakers all around the world. It is spoken by people in the Punjab province in Pakistan. In India, Punjabi is spoken by 31.1 million people (as of 2011) and is the official language of Punjab.
