It is one of the 22 scheduled languages of India. Nepali is also called Nepalese, Gorkhali, or Parbatiya. Nepali is spoken mainly in Nepal and is spoken by a quarter of the population in Bhutan. Nepali has official status in the state of Sikkim and is also spoken in the Kalimpong district of West Bengal. Nepali has a significant number of speakers in Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Himachal Pradesh, Manipur, Mizoram, and Uttarakhand. The origin of the modern Nepali language is linked to the Sinja Valley of Jumla. It is a historical language and was spoken by the Khas people of the Karnali region. The language gets its name from Khas Speech (Khas Kur─Б). Nepali has an archaic dialect and is spoken in Karnali.

There is a West High Lithuanian dialect that is popular in East Prussia. It is a modern literary language that is written in 32 letter alphabets. Scholar Jonas Jablonskis (1861тАУ1930) is considered to be the father of Lithuanian. It is preserved in many different archaic features. Lithuanian is written in many forms and it has got both nouns and verbs.
