Nepali has a significant number of speakers in Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Himachal Pradesh, Manipur, Mizoram, and Uttarakhand. The origin of the modern Nepali language is linked to the Sinja Valley of Jumla. It is a historical language and was spoken by the Khas people of the Karnali region. The language gets its name from Khas Speech (Khas Kur─Б). Nepali has an archaic dialect and is spoken in Karnali.

The Vowel length and consonant length in Finnish are distinguished, and there is a range of diphthongs in Finnish.
