There are two written varieties for modern Armenia that include Western Armenian (Arewmtahayerên) and Eastern Armenian (Arewelahayerên). There are about 50 dialects that were introduced before 1915. Surprisingly, the population of Turkey was reduced due to massacres and other adverse conditions.
