Kurdish is spoken in Southeast Turkey and Northwest Iran and Syria. Interestingly it is also popular for many non-Kurdish minorities. There are many different dialects of this language. Northwestern, Southwestern, Northern, and Southern Kurmanji. The Kurdish language is written in two alphabets that is Latin and Hawar. The Hawar alphabet is commonly used in Syria, Turkey, and Armenia. Central Kurdish features eight different vowels while seven are represented with letters. The letters are quite similar to English. It also gets some inspiration from the Armenian alphabet. There are 15 million native speakers of Kurdish.
