According to Wikipedia.org, The Khmer language is also known as Cambodian. It is the official language of Cambodia. There are around 11.3 million people in South-Eastern Thailand who also speak Khmer. This language is written with a special script that was first introduced in South India. Khmer is the official language of the ancient Khmer empire and in Angkor. There are several inscriptions from the 7th to 15th century that represent the prestige and use of this language. In Cambodia 15-16 million native speakers speak Khmer. People living in Khmer are close to the Southeast Asian population. The Northern Khmer dialect makes it distinctive among other languages. Khmer belongs to the Austroasiatic Khmeric Khmer language family.

According to Wikipedia.org, The Korean language is the official language of North and South Korea. Around 48 million speakers live in South Korea while the other 24 million reside in North Korea. There are around 2 million speakers of the Korean language in China while 1 million are in the United States. The dialect of Korean is different in both North and South Korea. Even the spellings, alphabets, and vocabulary choices are different. The writing system features vernacular script and is now known as Hangul. There are two different types of vowels that include y or w. Some front vowels are written as e = [e], and ae = [ฮต] or [รฆ]. However, some of them are originally diphthongs. The Korean language is deeply influenced by Chinese but even then, it is completely different from it.
