Over the last few centuries, this language has got a strong influence on the other dialects too. As a result, it is mutually intelligible with one and another. Georgian is also related to Zan languages (Megrelian and Laz). This language also contains a large number of harmonic clusters. It also involves two consonants that are similar in type. However, they are pronounced with a single release only. For example ბგერა bgera (sound), ცხოვრება tskhovreba (life), and წყალი ts’q’Ali (water).
